tion 5B, to follow immediately after Section 5A of said
Article, and to read as follows:

5B. The Commissioner is authorized and empowered
to prepare, without examination, special lists of eligibles
of persons certified by the Division of Vocational Rehabili-
tation of the State Department of Education to be physi-
cally capable and adequately trained to qualify for a posi-
tion in the Classified Service. The use of such special lists
of eligibles shall be optional with the appointing authority;
provided that the Commissioner, in his discretion, may fix
the maximum number of persons who may be appointed
from such special lists of eligibles by any appointing
authority. The Commissioner shall not certify for em-
ployment any person on any special list of eligibles unless
such person shall, by written instrument executed in the
presence of two subscribing witnesses, waive any benefit
or right to a pension under any State retirement system
and/or any disability benefits during or on account of
such employment.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

CHAPTER 67

(Senate Bill 147)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sec-
tion 193 of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Caroline County, "
sub-title "Federalsburg, " as said section was amended
by Chapter 337 of the Acts of 1947, relating to taxes in
said town, the time when said taxes levied by said town
shall be due and payable and the time when interest
thereon shall be chargeable.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 193 of Article 6 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Caroline County, "
