ing the names of various governmental bodies and offices,
re-constituting the initial membership of the Council
and the office of the Secretary-Treasurer, clarifying the
charter of said taxing area in respect to assessment of
property for improvements, and changing the dates for
the annual election and budget hearing.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 113, Sub-sections 115 (A) and (B), Section
116, and Sub-sections 118 (B) and (C), 120 (A), and
121 (A) of the Code of Public Local Laws of Montgomery
County (1947 Edition), (being Section 121-2, Sub-sections
121-4(A) and (B), Section 121-5, and Sub-sections 121-7

(B) and (C), 121-9 (A) and 121-10 (A), respectively, of
the 1950 Montgomery County Code), being Article 16 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Mont-
gomery County, " sub-title "Chevy Chase View, " be and
they are hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, and that a new sub-section be and it is hereby added
to Section 118 (121-7) thereof, said new sub-section to be
known as (D) and to follow immediately after Sub-section

(C) thereof and all to read as follows:

113. For the purpose of this sub-title the following
terms, wherever they appear in this sub-title, shall have
the meanings stipulated in this section:

"Chevy Chase View" or "community" shall mean the
special taxing area, or district, herein created.

"Council" shall mean the Council of Chevy Chase View,
the governing body hereinafter created to administer the
authority and carry out the duties herein granted to the
special taxing area, or district.

"Secretary-Treasurer" shall mean the Secretary-Treas-
urer of Chevy Chase View as hereinafter created.

"County" shall mean Montgomery County, Maryland.

"[County Commissioners" shall mean the Board of
County Commissioners of Montgomery County, Mary-
land. ]

"County Council" shall mean the County Council of
Montgomery County, Maryland.

["County Treasurer" shall mean the County Treasurer
of Montgomery County, Maryland. ]

"Department of Finance" shall mean the Department of
Finance of Montgomery County, Maryland.
