CHAPTER 428
(House Bill 697)

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Anne
Arundel County to take over and maintain certain roads.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
be and they are hereby authorized to take over certain roads,
being the bed of part of Hillcrest Lane, 20 feet wide, and all of
Rio Lane, with an additional 10 foot width adjoining Rio Lane,
and being more particularly described as follows:

Beginning for the same at the intersection of Hillcrest Lane
and the existing County Road leading to Severna Park, as
shown on the recorded plat entitled Severn Heights, Plat No.
2, and recorded among the Plat Records of Anne Arundel
County, Maryland, in Cabinet No. 2 Rod D-5 Plat No. 213, and
running thence from said beginning point and is a westerly
direction as shown on said plat, to intersect Rio Lane; thence
following Rio Lane, as laid out 10 feet wide on the above men-
tioned plat with an additional 10 foot wide strip adjoining on
the westerly side to make a total width of 20 feet, running in a
southwesterly and southerly direction to the point of ending
to intersect the South 75 degrees 42 minutes West, outline as
shown on the above mentioned plat. The total length of the
road being approximately 1, 830 feet.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

Approved April 13, 1951.

CHAPTER 429
(House Bill 699)

AN ACT to repeal Section 768 of Article 27 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Crimes and
Punishments", sub-title "Department of Correction", said
section relating to the compensation of guards at the Mary-
land Penitentiary and House of Correction.
