1230 LAWS OF MARYLAND [CH. 430

WHEREAS, the provisions of this section are obsolete and un-
necessary since the Standard Salary Board has the power to
fix the minimum and maximum salaries of all State employees;
therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Section 768 of Article 27 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Crimes and Punishments",
sub-title "Department of Correction", be and it is hereby re-
pealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

Approved April 13, 1951.

CHAPTER 430
(House Bill 703)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sub-section
(Charles County) of Section 100 of Article 52 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Justices
of the Peace, " sub-title "Trial Magistrates System, " elim-
inating the requirement that the State's Attorney of Charles
County shall attend all trials held before the Trial Magis-
trate of Charles County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That Sub-section (Charles County) of Section 100 of
Article 52 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supple-
ment), title "Justices of the Peace", sub-title "Trial Magis-
trates System, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted,
with amendments, to read as follows:

100.

(Charles County. ) There shall be one Trial Magistrate
who shall sit at La Plata and shall receive an annual salary
of $1, 200. 00.

[It shall be the duty of the State's Attorney of Charles
County to attend all trials before said Trial Magistrate and
