tion of said salary to be paid by the State shall be limited to
the amount prescribed in the schedules of assessors' salaries as
set forth in Section 180.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.

CHAPTER 405
(House Bill 559)

AN ACT to add a new sub-section to Section 16 of Chapter
1051 of the Acts of 1945, said Chapter being the Charter of
the Town of College Park, in Prince George's County, said
new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (f) and to follow
immediately after Sub-section (e) of said Section, authoriz-
ing the Mayor and Common Council of College Park to levy
a special assessment, to make contracts and to pass ordi-
nances for the collection and disposal of trash, and provid-
ing for a referendum thereon.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That a new sub-section be and it is hereby added to Sec-
tion 16 of Chapter 1051 of the Acts of 1945, said Chapter being
the Charter of the Town of College Park, in Prince George's
County, said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (f),
to follow immediately after Sub-section (e) of said section, and
to read as follows:

16. (f) In addition to the aforementioned tax described in
sub-sections (a) and (b) of this section, the Mayor and Com-
mon Council of College Park is hereby authorized and empow-
ered to levy and collect annually a special assessment of Eight
Dollars ($8. 00) for each single family residential dwelling lo-
cated within the said Town; the money derived from such
special assessment to be used exclusively for the establish-
ment and maintenance of a refuse collection and disposal serv-
ice within the corporate limits of said Town. The said Mayor
and Common Council are further authorized and empowered
