the Poor of Queen Anne's County to The County Com-
missioners of Queen Anne's County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sanction and consent of said General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared given and
granted to the conveyance, grant and deed of the County
Home farm dated January 2nd, 1951, and recorded among
the land records of Queen Anne's County from The Trus-
tees of the Poor of Queen Anne's County to The County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and having been passed upon by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of
the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 51

(Senate Bill 79)

AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of Queen
Anne's County to sell or lease the Queen Anne's County
Home farm and property at or near Ruthsburg.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County
be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to sell
or lease the County Alms House farm, now known as the
Queen Anne's County Home, and property, and in case of
sale to give a good and sufficient deed for said farm and
properties so sold. The proceeds from said sale or any
money received in case the said property is leased shall be
paid over to the County Treasurer of Queen Anne's County
as a part of the general funds of the County.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
