CHAPTER 49

(Senate Bill 77)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
9 of the Articles of Incorporation of The Presbyterian
Church in Snow Hill, in Worcester County, as enacted
by Chapter 15 of the Acts of 1800, and as amended by
Chapter 632 of the Acts of 1890, to increase the amount
of real and personal property which said corporation
shall be capable of purchasing and holding.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 9 of the Articles of Incorporation of The
Presbyterian Church in Snow Hill, in Worcester County,
as enacted by Chapter 15 of the Acts of 1800 and as
amended by Chapter 632 of the Acts of 1890, be and the
same is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:

9. The said corporation shall be capable of purchasing
hereafter and holding real and personal property, not
exceeding in value the sum of [Twenty] Two Hundred
thousand dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency measure and necessary
for the immediate preservation of the public health and
safety and having been passed by a yea and nay vote, sup-
ported by three-fifths of all of the members elected to each
of the two Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall
take effect from the date of its passage.
