Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Cecil County, "
sub-title "Orphans Court, " be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.

CHAPTER 359

(Senate Bill 491)

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 24 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wor-
cester County, " sub-title "Ocean City, " said new section to
be known as Section 158 and to follow immediately after
Section 157 of said Article, making it unlawful for persons
to use loud speakers or other mechanical devices on vessels
near Ocean City, which produce or reproduce loud noises.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land,
That a new section be and is hereby added to Article 24
of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Worcester County, " sub-title "Ocean City, " said new
section to be known as Section 158 and to follow immediately
after Section 157 of said Article, and to read as follows:

158. It shall be unlawful for any person or persons to use
loud speakers or other mechanical devices on any boat, ship,

or vessel of any kind near enough to the shore or beaches at
Ocean City, in Worcester County, to produce or reproduce loud
noises which can be heard in and near Ocean City to the dis-
comfort or inconvenience of persons residing or being in Ocean
City.

Any person violating the provisions of this section shall be
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof, shall be
subject to a penalty of not more than $100 for the first offense
and not more than $500 for each succeeding offense.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1951.
