(1947 Supplement), title "State Police", sub-title "Sta-
tistical Bureau", relating to the furnishing of photo-
graphs of motor vehicle accidents taken by the Depart-
ment of State Police.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 45 of Article 88B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "State Police", sub-
title "Statistical Bureau", be and it is hereby repealed
and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
45. The Superintendent of State Police is directed to
make available to the executive officer of any agency of
the State or sub-division thereof, for the purpose of study,
such files, records, and reports as he has which relate to
traffic accidents or their causes; and the executive officers
of such agencies are directed to extend the same facilities
to the Statistical Bureau. The said Statistical Bureau may
charge a fee of Fifty Cents (50c) to all persons other than
an agency of the State or any sub-division thereof for
furnishing a copy of the report relating to any accident
and a fee of Twenty-five Cents (25c) for searching its files
and producing an accident report on application of any
person wishing to make copy of same. In the absence of
pending prosecution or upon termination of any prosecu-
tion with respect to any traffic accident, the said Statistical
Bureau may furnish a print of any photograph relating
to such accident to any person other than an agency of the
State or any sub-division thereof, and may charge a fee
of One Dollar ($1. 00) per print.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.
