limiting the number of licenses to be issued in any cal-
endar year and increasing license fees in Charles County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 9 (g), 19 (e) and 134 (b), respectively, of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Sup-
plement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", sub-titles "Beer
Licenses", "Beer, Wine and Liquor Licenses", and "Boards
of License Commissioners", respectively, be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, and
that a new section be and it is hereby added to said Article
and title, said new section to be known as Section 39A,
to be under the sub-title "General Provisions on Issue of
Licenses" and to follow immediately after Section 39 of
said Article; that a new sub-section be and it is hereby
added to Section 48 of said Article and title, said new
sub-section to be known as Sub-section (ee), to be under
the sub-title "Procedure for Issue of Licenses", and to
follow immediately after Sub-section (e) of said section
and Article; that a new sub-section be and it is hereby
added to Section 129 of said Article and title, said new
sub-section to be known as Sub-section (b) of said section,
to be under the sub-title "Boards of License Commis-
sioners", to follow immediately after Sub-section (a) of
said section and Article; that a new sub-section be and it
is hereby added to Section 135 of said Article and title,
said new sub-section to be known as Sub-section (ii), to
be under the sub-title "Boards of License Commissioners",
to follow immediately after Sub-section (i) of said section
and Article, and all to read as follows:

(g). (Charles County. ) In Charles County the annual
fee for such a license shall be [One Hundred and Twenty-
five Dollars ($125. 00)] One Hundred and Forty Dollars
($140. 00).

(e). (Charles County. ) In Charles County the fee for
such a license for on and off sale of all alcoholic beverages
shall be [Three Hundred Dollars ($300. 00)] Three Hun-
dred and Fifteen Dollars ($315. 00) and the fee for such
a license authorizing off sale for liquor and on and off sale
for beer and wine shall be [Two Hundred Dollars
($200. 00)] Two Hundred and Fifteen Dollars ($215. 00).

39A. Charles County. In Charles County the Board
of License Commissioners shall not approve more than
