two (2) additional licenses in any one calendar year and
any license approved by said Board shall not be issued
unless confirmed by the County Commissioners.
48.
(ee). (Charles County. ) In Charles County, in all
hearings upon applications and remonstrances under the
provisions of this Article, the general reputation of the
applicant or licensee and of the place of business and of
the people who congregate therein or thereat shall be
admissible in evidence.
129.
(b). (Charles County. ) In Charles County, the Board
of County Commissioners shall appoint three persons,
designating one of them as Chairman, who shall constitute
the Board of License Commissioners for said County; the
first members of said Board to be appointed for one, two
and three year terms, respectively, and their successors
thereafter for terms of three years each; and said Board
shall meet at least once a month.
134.
(b). The State Appeal Board shall act in place of a
county board of license commissioners in [Charles, ] Queen
Anne's and Somerset Counties.
135.
(ii). In Charles County the Chairman of the Board
shall receive an annual salary of $400. 00, and the two
associate members an annual salary of $300. 00 each. The
Board shall appoint a Clerk, who shall receive an annual
salary of $400. 00; an attorney who shall receive an annual
salary of $600. 00; and the Board shall have authority to
expend annually such additional sum or sums as may be
necessary, not exceeding $250. 00, to cover other expenses.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1951.
