To all employees who have been employed by said System
for U5 months but less than 51 "months, a sum equal to
NOT TO EXCEED 11 weeks salary.
To all employees who have been employed by said System
for 51 months but less than 57 months, a sum equal to
NOT TO EXCEED 12 weeks salary.
To all employees who have been employed by said System
for 57 months but less than 63 months, a sum equal to
NOT TO EXCEED 13 weeks salary.
To all employees who have been employed by said System
for 63 months but less than 93 months, a sum equal to-
NOT TO EXCEED 14 weeks salary.
To all employees who have been employed by said System
for 93 months or more, a sum equal to NOT TO EXCEED
16 weeks salary plus a sum equal to one weeks salary for
every 6 months or part thereof in excess of said 93 months.
THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF ADDITIONAL SALARY
PROVIDED BY THIS ACT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE
SUM OF TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY THOUSAND
DOLLARS ($230,000) AND SAID SUM SHALL BE PRO-
RATED TO THE EMPLOYEES OF SAID SYSTEM IN
ACCORDANCE WITH THE RATIO OF INDIVIDUAL
AMOUNTS TO THE TOTAL AMOUNT TO BE COM-
PUTED AS PROVIDED FOR HEREIN AND SAID SUM
SHALL INCLUDE PROVISION FOR THE EMPLOY-
EES OF THE CLAIBORNE-ROMANCOKE FERRY, IF
AND WHEN DISCONTINUED, AS WELL AS THE
EMPLOYEES OF THE MATAPEAKE-SANDY POINT
FERRY.
Provided, however, that the maximum severance pay
ment ADDITIONAL SALARY to be paid any employee of
the Chesapeake Bay Ferry System under the provisions of
this Act shall not exceed the sum of $6500.
The amount of pay or salary to be received by any
eligible employee under the provisions of this Act shall
be that payable to him at the time this Act becomes ef-
fective or the time his employment with the Ferry System
is terminated, whichever is higher. In either event, it
shall be for a regular work week with no credit for over-
time. A week's pay for an eligible employee who is paid
on a monthly basis shall be determined by multiplying the
basic monthly pay by twelve and dividing the product by
fifty-two.
An eligible employee who left the service of the Ferry
System for military service in the armed forces of the
United States and who returned to the employment of the
Ferry System after completing such military service and
