CHAP. 71.
$2 per diem.

ceive, in addition to the usual established fees, two
dollars per diem for his services during the time of the
several sittings of said court; to be paid in the same
manner as the amount due to jurors are paid out of the
county assessments.

CHAPTER 70.

Passed Feb. 23,
1838.

An act for the relief of Mary Steel and Catharine Carr,
of Frederick county.

Levy for, direc-
ted.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Frederick be, and they are here-
by authorised, directed and empowered to levy and
assess on the assessable property of said county at their
next meeting, a sum of money at their discretion, not
exceeding thirty dollars each, for the use and benefit
of Mary Steel and Catharine Carr, of Frederick coun-
ty, and the same amount annually thereafter for each
of the persons above named during their lives, to be
paid to their order.

CHAPTER 71.

Passed Feb. 21,
1838.

A supplement to an act, entitled, an act authorising
Henry Feete, surviving executor of Jacob Alexander,
late of Frederick county, deceased, to execute the last
will and testament of said deceased, passed December
session eighteen hundred and thirty-six, chapter two
hundred and fourteen.

Preamble.

WHEREAS, it has been represented to this General
Assembly, by the petition of said Henry Feete, that
said act to which this is a supplement does not fully
authorise him to execute a good and sufficient deed of
conveyance for the real estate therein mentioned; and
whereas, the said petitioner hath prayed a special act
may be passed, authorising him to execute a good and
sufficient deed of conveyance to the purchaser of said
real estate; and whereas, a certain Samuel G. Har-
baugh has become the purchaser; and whereas, it ap-
