Resolution directing the Treasurer of the Western to
invest certain school funds therein named.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Treasurer of the Western Shore, be, and he is
hereby required and directed to invest from time to
time, until a general system of primary school instruc-
tion shall have been established in Calvert county, the
proportion of the interest of the State's share of the sur-
plus revenue to which said county is entitled as it comes
into the Treasury, and the income of such investments,
in State's Six per cent stocks, or in the stock of the
Farmers Bank of Maryland.

Resolution in favour of Benjamin Taylor.
WHEREAS, Benjamin Taylor was so unfortunate
as to loose an arm while acting as gunner in firing
the State salute on the fourth of July last, under the
direction of the Armorer, and whereas, he has been
rendered unable to gain a livelihood for himself and
family by reason of said wound so received while in
service of the state: — Therefore.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the treasurer of the Western Shore of Maryland, pay
out of any unappropriated money in the Treasury, in
quarterly payments to Benjamin Taylor or his order
during his life, the sum of money equal to the pay to
which private soldiers of the Maryland line were enti-
tled.
