Resolution in favour of Jonathan Barkdall.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Register of the Land Office for the Western Shore
be, and he is hereby required to issue a patent to Jona-
than Barkdall, of Allegany county, on his certificate of
re-survey, called Barkdall's Farm, containing three
hundred and forty-two and one-eighth acres of land,
and resurveyed for the said Jonathan Burkdall, the
twentieth day of September eighteen hundred and
thirty-six: provided nevertheless, that nothing herein
contained shall be construed to effect the rights of any
other person acquired before the passage of this reso-
lution.

Preamble and Resolution releasing William Orrell,
Joshua Clark and Edward B. Hardcastle, securities
of Marcy Fountain, former Collector of Caroline
county, from certain interest therein mentioned.
WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly of Maryland, by the petition of William Orrell,
Joshua Clark and Edward B. Hardcastle, that some
time in the year eighteen hundred and twenty-five they
became securities of a certain Marcy Fountain upon
his bond as collector of Caroline county, he being a
defaulter, his securities have actually paid the full
amount of which they were liable under said bond;
and whereas, it is further represented to the General
Assembly, that payment of the interest on said sum has
been delayed by said securities, under the expectation
that their principal would release them therefrom: —
Therefore,

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
said securities be, and they are hereby released from
the payment of all interest that has accrued upon the
said bond of Marcy Fountain, former collector of Caro-
line county.
