CHAPTER 330.

1838.

An act giving discretionary power to the Levy Court of
Frederick County, to authorise repairs to the Court

House.

Authority gran-

ted.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the levy court of Frederick county be, and they
are hereby authorised and empowered to make such
alterations and repairs to the court-house in Freder-
ick county, as they may deem proper, out of the mate-
rials of the old clerk's office, and such other materials
as may be necessary, in such manner as to suit the,
public convenience, and to preserve the public records
and papers of the county; provided, the sum levied for
this purpose, shall not exceed two thousand dollars,
and the amount levied in any one year shall not ex-
ceed one thousand dollars.

CHAPTER 331.

1838.

An act to alter and change the lines of the Ninth Elec-
tion District of Carroll County.

Lines changed.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, the lines
and boundaries of the ninth election district of Car-
rol county shall be as follows, to wit: beginning at
Parr's Spring, and running with the original lines to
Morgan's Run; thence with Morgan's Runto Richard
Frizzle's Branch; thence with said branch to a road
leading from Philip Nicodemus' Mill to the Calico
Bouse; thence with the said road to Philip Nicode-
mus' Mill; thence with the original lines to the place
of beginning.

Voting.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all persons who may
be included within the limits of the proposed new
lines, shall be entitled to vote at the polls of the dis-
trict into which they may fall, at all new elections.
