An act supplementary to an act, entitled, an act to ap-
point Commissioners for the regulation and improve-
ment of Chestertown, in Kent county, and for other
purposes.
|

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
the Commissioners of Chester Town, or a majority of
them, at their first regular meeting in June next, or as
soon thereafter as may be, and yearly, and every year
thereafter in the month of June in each year, shall
nominate and appoint a person of good repute and
skill to be clerk of the market house in said town, and

in case the clerk so appointed shall, die, resign or re-
fuse to act, or be rendered incapable of acting by mis-
behavior, removal or otherwise, the said commission-
ers or a majority of them, shall as soon as convenient-
ly may be thereafter, meet together and nominate and
appoint another such person, as aforesaid, as clerk of
said market for the residue of said year.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the eighth section of
an act, entitled, an act to establish a market house in
Chester Town in Kent County and for the regulation
of the said market, passed at November Session seven-
teen hundred and eighty-four, chapter two, be, and the
same is hereby repealed.
