SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
herein appointed, or authorised to be appointed, shall
be entitled to receive. such compensation for their ser-
vices as the commissioners of Allegany county may
deem reasonable; provided, the same shall not exceed
two dollars per day, for every day they shall be neces-
sarily employed in discharging the duties required by
this act.

An act to provide for the erection of a Stone Bridge
over Antietam Creek, at John Sharre's Mill, in Wash-
ington county.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Washington county be, and
they are hereby authorised and required to examine
whether the public convenience require that there
should be a stone bridge built over the Antietam, at John
Sharre's Mill, and if in their opinion the public require
such a bridge, they shall cause to be erected a substantial
stone bridge upon such plan, terms and conditions, and
under such superintendance as they may deem most
conducive to the public interest, and that they be, and

are hereby authorised and required to levy on the as-
sessable property of said county, such sum or sums of
money as they shall deem necessary to defray all ex-
penses incurred in and about the erection of said
bridge.
