under the immediate direction and superintendance of
the said commissioners, or a majority of them.

CHAP. 127.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That if either of the said
commissioners shall die or remove out of the county in
which he is commissioner, before the completion of said
bridge, or shall refuse to act, the commissioner who
shall have been appointed to act with him may appoint
some other person, resident of the county in which he
was a commissioner, to act in his place, and the person
so appointed shall have the same powers and authori-
ties as are vested in the said commissioners by this
act.

Case of vacan-
cies.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of
the aforesaid commissioners to cause bond with ap-
proved security to be given in double the amount of the
contract, for the true and faithful performance of the
work, and for the insurance of the bridge for seven
years.

Bonds required.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That the commissioners
aforesaid, or a majority of them, shall render to the
proper authorities of their respective counties, at their
meeting next after the expenditure of said money, a
true, full and fair account of all the money by them
laid out and expended by virtue of this act, in rebuild-
ing said bridge, and that the said authorities, in their
respective counties, shall make such compensation to
the said commissioners as they in their judgment shall
think proper.

quired.

An act for the relief of Morns Malsby, of Harford
county.

Passed Mar. 6,
1838.

WHEREAS, it is represented to this General Assem-
bly, by the petition of Morris Malsby, of Harford coun-
ty, that he is at present confined in Harford county
jail for debts which he is unable to pay; and that he is
debarred from the privilege of the insolvent laws of the
State by reason of an unfavorable decision of Harford
county court upon his petition heretofore made for the
benefit of the insolvent laws; and the said Morris Mals-
