STRAW— All hay, &c. brought to the city

of Baltimore, except hay in bundles, to

weigh at the State scales, &c. at the rate of

100 pounds 1o the 100 weight; the weigher

to make allowance for moisture as well as

mud, &c to make out certificate for 100

pounds nett weight, every 20 hundred

pounds to be a ton, and he to receive two

cents, to be paid by seller for every 100
weight, &c until the weight amount to

twenty hundred; not to receive in any case

more than 40 cents for any one load,

DISTRICT— Voters of, under act of 1838,

ch. 22, to place upon his ballot the name

of the place, &c. within Howard district of

Anne Arundel county, the place he prefers as

the seat of justice judges of election to make

return of votes for sheriff and for seat of

justice, to clerk of said district in the same

manner returns are made to clerk of Anne

Arundel county, return judges to ascertain

the number of votes for sheriff, &c. as is made

for sheriff of Anne Arundel county,

with clerk of court of Howard district, to

received the highest number of votes is du-

ly selected PS the seat of justice, and said

clerk to certify to each of the commissioners

judges to be the office of the clerk of said
