Sec.

FREE PEOPLE

OF COLOR— May visit Trinidad or

British Guiana, etc. and may return and re-

side in the State, provided they do not re-

main out of the State more than 18 months,

and provided said persons first satisfy the

orphans' court of the county where he or

she resides, that they are visiting said pla-

ces with a view of ascertaining whether

they are suitable for emigration or settle-

ment, etc.

Orphans' court to issue license for the

object aforesaid, to cause a record to be

kept, and make annual return thereof to the
legislature,

If detained more than 18 months by suffi-

cient or unavoidable cause, and orphans'

court satisfied of the fact, license to be

granted for them to return and settle,

INSOLVENT

DEBTORS— Judges of county courts to
grant to all persons the benefit of the seve-

ral acts for the relief of, upon compliance

with the requisitions of said acts, except

proof of residence of two years, proof of

residence of sixty days to be sufficient, &c.

Judges to be satisfied they did not come

into the State for the purpose of obtaining

the benefit of the insolvent laws,

Petitions to be filed in the usual manner

with a justice of the orphans' court, who

is authorised to make the necessary orders,

and discharge, &c.

"

This act not to apply to the city or coun-

ty of Baltimore,

"

To take effect from the passage, &c.
