Resolution relative to the Arms, &c. of the State.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor, be and he is hereby requested to adopt such
measures as he may deem proper, for the collection and
deposit, in the several counties of this State, such arms,
accoutrements and ordnance, belonging 1o the State, in
the possession of any person or persons in this State, ex-
cept such as may be in the hands of any organized uni-
form company of militia.

Resolution in favor of Clement Dorsey.
WHEREAS, the subscription heretofore directed to be
made to the Compilation of the Laws of this State, by the
Honorable Clement Dorsey, was graduated upon an esti-
mate that the said Compilation would not exceed one
thousand two hundred pages, and be bound in one volume,
when it has been enlarged to two thousand eight hundred
pages, and must be bound in three volumes; and it is but
just and equitable that the compiler should be rewarded,
for a work as eminently useful to the people of this State
— therefore,
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That a de-
livery by Clement Dorsey, to the State Librarian, of five hun-
dred copies of the Compilation of the Laws of Maryland,
made by him, and reported by His Excellency the Gover-
nor, by the Honorable Alexander C. Magruder and Otho
Scott, to have been approved by them, and bound in the
manner prescribed by Resolution of the last General As-
sembly of Maryland, number twenty-eight, shall be deem-
ed and taken as a full compliance with the said resolution;
and to authorise and require the Treasurer of the Wes-
tern Shore to pay to the said Dorsey, the sum of twelve
thousand five hundred dollars, at the time therein prescri-
bed.
