CHAPTER 332.
An act to repeal a supplement to the several acts of Assem-
bly, incorporating the Town of Hagerstown, passed at
December session eighteen hundred and thirty-nine.

pealed.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the act passed December session eighteen hundred
and thirty-nine, entitled a supplement to the several acts
of Assembly incorporating the town of Hagerstown, be
and the same is hereby repealed.

An act supplementary to an act, entitled an act to establish
a Market at the Market House, in Chester Town, in Kent
County, and for the regulation of the said Market.

Commissioners
to regulate mar-
ket, &c.
And cording of
wood.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That from and after the passage of this act,
the commissioners of Chester Town shall have full power
and authority to provide for the regulation of the market
and market days, and also, the cording and sale of cord
wood, in said town, by the ordinances to be adopted by
the said commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the second, third,
fourth, fifth and fourteenth sections of the act, passed at
November session seventeen hundred and eighty-four,
chapter two, and all other acts or parts of acts inconsis-
tent with or repugnant to the provisions of this act, be
and the same are hereby repealed; provided, that the said
commissioners shall not hereafter require any wood offered
for sale in said town, from carts or wagons, by the origin-
al owner, his agents or servants, to be set up and corded,
unless at the option of the seller.
