CHAPTER 313.

An act, entitled an act to authorise the Levy Court of Fre-
derick County to appoint Commissioners to alter a road
called the Old Road, leading from Middletown to Ha-
gerstown.

CHAP. 314.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the levy court of Frederick county, be
and they are hereby authorised to appoint three commis-
sioners to view and determine if the public convenience
requires that the road in Frederick county called the Old
Road, leading from Middletown to Hagerstown, should
be changed, commencing at the east end of the bridge
near Mrs. Magruder's dwelling, on the north side of the
turnpike, and running with a straight line to Mrs. Beck-
with's dwelling, a distance of about two hundred yards.

Location.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners so
appointed, shall have full power to authorise and direct
the road to be opened according to the lines designated
in the first section of this bill; provided, they shall deter-
mine that the public convenience will thereby be promo-
ted, the said commissioners shall give fifteen days public
notice of the day they intend to view said road.

Proviso.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said commis-
sioners so appointed shall receive the same compensation
and be paid in the same manner that commissioners re-
ceive for similar services.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act
shall be so construed as to prevent any party feeling
themselves aggrieved, the right of appeal.

CHAPTER 314.

Right of appeal.

A supplement to an act, entitled an act for building a
Bridge over Deer Creek, at or near La Grange Iron
Works, in Harford County, passed at December session,
eighteen hundred and thirty-seven, chapter two hundred
and thirty-six.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Dr. Abraham J. Street, of Harford
county, be, and he is hereby appointed commissioner, in
the place of Thomas Street, of John, deceased, who was
