CHAPTER 279.

An act to authorise the Commissioners of Cecil County, to
levy a sum of money, to build two Bridges in said
County.
|
|
|
Levy to be made
to build two
bridges.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the commissioners of Cecil county, be
and they are hereby authorised at their next annual ses-
sion, to levy at their discretion, such sum or sums of mo-
ney as they may deem necessary to build two bridges in
said county; one over the Little Elk creek, at Purnell's
mill, on the main road leading from North East to Elkton,
and one over Big Elk creek, near Gilpin's mill, on the
road leading from Elkton to Newark.

To contract for
building.
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said commission-
ers are hereby authorised to contract for the building of the
said bridges on the most reasonable terms.

|
How levied, &c.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said sum or sums of
money shall be levied and collected as other county
charges are, and be paid to said commissioners or their
order.

A supplement to an act, entitled an act to authorise the
Commissioners of Cecil County, to levy a sum of money
to build a bridge over North East Creek, in Cecil Coun-
ty, passed at December session eighteen hundred and
thirty-six, chapter two hundred and forty-one.

To levy $150 to
finish bridge, &c.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Cecil county, be and they are
hereby authorised and empowered to levy at their discre-
tion, the sum of one hundred and fifty dollars, on the as-
sessable property of said county, at their next levy, for
the purpose of completing a bridge over North East creek,
near Hurford's mill.
