CHAPTER 199.

An act to divorce Nancy Cook, of Cat roll County, from
her husband Rezin Cook.
|
|
|
May sue, &.c. as
if she were a
feme sole.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Nancy Cook, of Carroll county, be and
she is hereby divorced from her husband Rezin Cook,
a mensa et thoro; and that the said Nancy shall be and
she is hereby declared to be in law capable to sue and be
sued, contract and be contracted with,and in all respects to
take, leceive and dispose of all property, real, personal or
mixed, in the same manner as if she were a feme sole.

Guardianship.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Nancy shall
have the legal custody and control of her daughter Susan
Ann Cook.

An act to authorise the Mayor and City Council of Balti-
more to open an Alley, from the north side of Cross
Street, in the City of Baltimore, between Light Street
and William Street.
|
|
|
Authority to
open alley.
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Mayor and City Council of Baltimore,
immediately after the passage of this act, be and they are
hereby authorised to provide, by ordinance, for opening an
alley twenty feet wide, between Light street and William
street, from the north side of Cross street, in said city,
upon such terms as they may deem just and equitable.

Expenses — and
how defrayed.
|
SEC. 2. And beit enacted, That all the expenses of ad-
vertising, and those also which may be incurred for the
services of the surveyor and other officers of said corpo-
ration, in the execution of any ordinance or ordinances
which may be passed by the Mayor and City Council
aforesaid, by virtue of this act, shall be defrayed by the
parties applying for the passage of the said ordinance or
ordinances.
