CHAP. 74.

That from and after the passage of this act it shall

An act to extend the time of John R. Martin, late Collector
of the Tax for Dorchester County, to complete his col-
lections.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That John R. Martin, late collector of the
tax for Dorchester county, be, and he is hereby allow-
ed ten months from the passage of this act, within
which to complete his collection of said taxes, and he
is authorised to make his collections in the manner
prescribed by law.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the aforesaid John
R. Martin shall in every instance before he may pro-
ceed to the aforesaid collection, make affidavit before
some justice of the peace of said county, that the same
remains unpaid, and that he hath not received any se-
curity or satisfaction for the same, or any part there-
of, more than the credits that may be allowed thereon.
