Resolution granting the use of the Library, to officers
of the Army and Navy, of the United States.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the officers of the Army and Navy of the United
States, being residents at Annapolis, shall be allowed
as free access to, and use of the Library, established for
the use of the Legislature, as the members thereof, or
of the Executive, or the Judges of the Court of Ap-
peals.

Resolution requesting the Governor to issue a commis-
sion to the Hon. William D. Merrick, as Senator
from this State, to the Congress of the United
States.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor be requested to issue a commission, in
the usual form, to the Honorable William D. Merrick,
as Senator from this State, to the Congress of the
United States, for the term of six years, from the
fourth of March next.
