RESOLUTIONS.

No. 56

Passed April 1,

1839.






Resolution directing the Governor of this State, to
cause in be returned to the Arsenal, in Frederick
City, all arms, accoutrements and ordnance, the
property of the State, and make report of the same
to the next General Assembly.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Governor of this State, he, and he is hereby requi-
red to take all proper steps, to cause to be returned to
the Arsenal in Frederick City, all arms, accoutre-
ments and ordnance, the property of the State, that
may be in the possession of any person or persons in
Washington county, except such as may be in posses-
sion of any organized company of Militia of said coun-
ty; and that he make report of the arms and acoutre-
ments, so collected and returned, to the next General
Assembly.

1839.

Resolution authorizing the Treasurer of the Western
Shore, to pay to Priscilla Smith, widow of Elijah
Smith, of Baltimore county, a soldier of the Revo-
lutionary war, the half pay of a private.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the treasurer of the Western Shore, be, and he is
hereby directed to pay to Priscilla Smith, of Balti-
more county, widow of Elijah Smith, a soldier of the
revolution, or to her order, the half pay of a private
of the revolution, in quarterly payments, during her
life.

1839.

Resolution in favor of John Wesley Walking of Bal-

timore.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the Armourer at Annapolis, be, and he is hereby.
