CHAP. 27.

of Prince George's county court, fifteen dollars for
the use of the Colonization Society of the State, as re-
quired by the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-three,
chapter eighty seven.

CHAPTER 26.

Passed Jan. 28,
1839.

An act to alter and change the names of James Francis
Corkran and Thomas Henry Corkran, of Caroline
county, to James Francis Love and Thomas Henry
Love.

Names changed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the names of James Francis Corkran
and Thomas Henry Corkran, children of Nancy Cork-
ran of Caroline county, he and they are hereby res-
pectively changed and altered to the names of James
Francis Love and Thomas Henry Love, and it shall
and may be lawful for the said James Francis Corkran
and Thomas Henry Corkran at all times hereafter to
be railed and known by, and hold and use the names
of James Francis Love and Thomas Henry Love, and

and to sue and be sued in any court of law or equity.

Contracts and obli-
gations confirmed.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all securities, pro-
mises, contracts, assurances, deeds and lawful acts
whatever, hereafter to he made or done, by or to the
said James Francis Corkran and Thomas Henry Cork-
ran, by the names of James Francis Love and Thomas
Henry Love, shall be of the same force and effect and
equally valid to all intents and purposes as if the names
of James Francis Love and Thomas Henry Love had
been their first and original names.

CHAPTER 27.

Passed Jan. 28,
1839.

An act to authorise Addison B. Reily to remove into this

State, two negroes, slaves far life.

Permission granted.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Addison B. Reily of the city of Baltimore, be and
