CHAPTER 19.

An act for the relief of the Heirs and representatives of
Joseph Vickers, late of Sussex County, in the State
of Delaware, deceased.

Preamble.

WHEREAS by the Petition of James Davis of Caro-
line County, and Mary H. Vickers, of Dorchester
County, State of Maryland; also John H. Twiford and
Catharine Twiford, of Sussex County, State of Dela-
ware, the heirs and legal representatives of Joseph
Vickers, late of Sussex County in the State of Dela-
ware, deceased, who died intestate, in the year of our
Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven,
and was at the time of his death lawfully seized and
possessed of sundry tracts of land, situated partly in
the State of Maryland, and partly in the State of Del-
aware, leaving a widow named Mary and two chil-
dren and three grand children, namely, Catharine
Vickers now Catharine Twiford wife of John H. Twi-
ford, Elizabeth Vickers, said deceased's youngest
daughter, and Joseph V. Davis, Mary C. Davis, and
Amelia V. Davis, children of said Joseph Ticker's
deceased daughter, Amelia Davis, late the wife of one
of the petitioners, namely, James Davis; and whereas
by said petition, three Commissioners, two in Caroline
County, and one in Dorchester County, are desired to
act conjointly with two others to be appointed by a
similar act of the Legislature of Delaware, the said
Commissioners to appoint a surveyor, chain carrier,
and chopper, to survey, mark out and divide the lands
of said Joseph Vickcrs, deceased, if they may think it
susceptible of division, and make allotments of the
same among the heirs and legal representatives of said
deceased.

Sec. 1. Therefore, Be it enacted by the General As-
sembly of Maryland, That Edward Nicols and Can-
non Charles of Caroline county, and Minos Adams, of
Dorchester County. State of Maryland, are hereby ap-
pointed Commissioners to act conjointly with commis-
sioners to he appointed by such concurrent act as the
State of Delaware may pass, in the survey, location,
valuation and division of said lauds.
