paper or newspapers, be and the same is hereby repealed,
so far as relates to Prince George's county.

CHAP. 82.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That constables and all
other officers not specified in the act of eighteen hundred
and sixteen, chapter one hundred twenty-nine, be autho-
rised and directed to give notice of all sale of negro
slaves, lands or tenements, made by them in the same
manner as sheriffs are directed to do by the act to
which this is a supplement as modified by this act.

CHAPTER 81.

 

An act entitled an act to regulate the fees of the sheriff of
Frederick county in certain cases.

Passed Feb.
12, 1844.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the passage of this act, the sheriff of
Frederick county, in all cases when under the judgment of
Frederick county court, he shall be ordered to sell beyond
the limits of the State of Maryland, any negro, be and he
is hereby authorised and empowered to retain from the sale
money, ten dollars and no more, as a compensation for all
services so rendered.

CHAPTER 82.

 

An act to enable William Becket, former collector of Prince
George's county, to complete his collections.

Passed Feb.
12, 1844.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That William Becket, former collector of coun-
ty taxes for Prince George's county, be and he is hereby
authorised and empowered to collect any tax or balances
of taxes due him as collector, in the same manner as he could

vided, that he shall not collect any such taxes from the
estates of deceased persons
