RESOLUTIONS.

 

the Montgomery Volunteers of Montgomery county, fifty
Knapsacks, by his giving satisfactory security for their
safe keeping and return; provided they are in the Armory.

9, 1844.

Resolution in relation to a transfer of the Stock held by
the United States in the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal.

Whereas it is understood that an act providing for
the transfer of the stock held by the United States in the
Chesapeake and Ohio Canal Company, to the State of
Marlyand, has passed the United Slates Senate, and that
the same is now pending in the House of Representatives;
Therefore,
Resolved, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the representatives of this state in the house of represen-
tatives of the congress of the United States, be request-
ed to give their prompt and earnest attention to the sub-
ject, and to expedite the passage of said act through said
house by every means in their power.
Resolved, That the Governor be requested to transmit
to each of our representatives in congress a copy of the
aforegoing preamble and resolution.

9, 1844.

Resolution authorizing the Librarian to furnish the Trea-
surer of the New Windsor Library Company with a
copy of Dorsey's Laws.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the State Librarian be, and he is hereby authorized and
required to furnish to the Treasurer of the New Windsor
Library Company one copy of Dorseys Laws of Maryland.

WheReas the condition of the Furnace under the Li-
