next friend Lambert C. Powell, for the purchase of a cer-
tain small tract of land, the property of said Coffin. And
whereas after the making of said contract, but before said
Huff obtained a deed for said land, the said Coffin was de-
clared to be non compos mentis by a jury, under a writ de
lunatico inquirendo, and there is now no means of convey-
ing the legal title to said land, or procuring such conveyance
either at law or in equity, although it is to the interest of
said Coffin and the wish of his trustee. Therefore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Worcester county court as a court of equity, be autho-
rised and empowered to examine into the facts of the case,
and if in their opinion the equity of the case or the interest
of said Coffin require, they shall order the trustee of said
Coffin to convey said land to said Huff, by a proper legal
deed; which deed if executed according to the acts of
assembly in such case made and provided, shall be good
and sufficient to transfer all the right, title, interest and
estate of said Coffin in and to said land.

A supplement to the act entitled an act to give the Chan-
cellor, and the County Courts as Courts of Equity, juris-
diction in cases of divorce.
|
|
To reside two
years in the
state.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That no person shall be entitled to make application for a
divorce, under the provisions of the act to which this is a
supplement, where the cause or causes for divorce occurred
in another State, District or Territory, or without the juris-
diction of this State, unless the person so applying shall
have resided in this State, for two years next preceding
bis or her application.
