cessors in the first election district in Anne Arundel coun-
ty are hereby required to hold all future elections for Gov-
ernor, delegates to the general assembly, senators, repre-
sentatives in the congress of the United States, sheriffs
and commissioners at or near the wind-mill, on the land
of Bushrod W. Marriott.

chap 222.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws inconsistent
with the provisions of the first section of this bill, he and
the same are hereby repealed.

Repealed.

CHAPTER 221.

 

An act to extend the time of Thomas W. DeCoursey, former
collector of Queen Ann's county, to complete his collec-
tions.

Passed Feb.
24, 1844.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the time allowed to Thomas W. DeCoursey, former
collector of Queen Ann's county, by an act passed at
December session eighteen hundred and forty-two, to com-
plete his collections, be and the same is hereby further ex-
tended, until the first day of June eighteen hundred and
forty-five.

CHAPTER 222.

 

An act relating to the Justices of the Magistrates Courts
in Queen Ann's County.

Passed Feb.
24, 1844.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That hereafter when the Magistrates Courts in
any of the districts in Queen Ann's county, shall not be
organised, or where the said courts may be suspended in
their operation, the justices of the said courts respectively,
shall forthwith return to the clerk of Queen Ann's county
court, all the dockets and papers of the said Magistrates
Courts, except the papers relating' to unsettled cases pend-
ing before the said Magistrates Courts, for sums not exceed-
ing fifty dollars, which papers shall be returned before
some justice of the peace for said county, who shall pro-
ceed thereon as if the case had been originally before him.
