whereas the said Richard W. Davis, having since de-
parted this life, the said house and lot has been sold under
a decree of said county court, as a court of equity, to a
certain Sarah Ann Price; and whereas, to quiet and

her of the interest actually sold by said sheriff—Therefore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the said John Newcomer, former sheriff
as aforesaid, be and he is hereby authorized and required,
to amend his return to said writ, by filing therewith, or
endorsing thereupon, a description of the property by
him actually sold, and the name of the purchaser, in the
usual form, which said return so amended, shall be as
good and valid to all intents and purposes, as if the same
had been so made at the return day of said writ; and the
said John Newcomer, is hereby further authorized and re-
quired to execute a good and sufficient deed to the said
Sarah Ann Price, in the usual form, conveying to her all
the right title and interest in said property, which was by
him actually sold, by virtue of the said fieri facias, which
deed and return shall be as good and valid to all intents
and purposes, to vest the right, title and interest, in her,
as if she had been the original purchaser from said sher-
iff, and obtained a deed from him whilst he remained
sheriff of said county.

An act for the benefit of the Evangelical Lutheran Church
in Frederick Town.

Preamble.
|
Whereas, it is represented by the Pastor, Elders and
Deacons of the "Evangelical Lutheran Church of Fred-
erick, " a church incorporated according to the act of as-
sembly in such case made and provided, and by Jacob
Keller, executor of the testament and last will of Charles
Yager, of Frederick county, deceased: that Charles Ya-
ger, by his said last will devised all his real and personal
property to his wife during her life, and alter her death, to
said Jacob Keller, in trust, and for the use of the Luthe-
ran church in the city of Frederick, until Christiana D.
Yager and Ann Maria Yager (sisters of said testator) or
their lawful heirs shall come and claim the property real and
