CHAP. 138.

Same rights
extended.

which are given by law to the Shore Fisheries—There-
fore,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all the rights, privileges and protection which are
given by law to the Shore Fisheries on the Chesapeake
Bay and its head waters, be, and the same are hereby giv-
en to the Fishery known by the name of Edmunson's
Island, or Shad Battery, situate as aforesaid.

 

CHAPTER 131

19, 1844.

A supplement to an act entitled, an act for electing commis-
sioners for St. Mary's county, and prescribing their pow-
ers and duties, passed at December session eighteen hun-
dred and thirty eight chapter sixty-seven.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all the citizens of St. Mary's county,
qualified to vote for delegates to the general assembly, and
also having the same qualifications as are or shall be re-
quired to entitle them to vote for such delegates, shall on
the first Wednesday in October, eighteen hundred and
forty-four, and every three years thereafter, vote by ballot
for five persons, one of whom shall reside in each election
district at the time of the election, and those five persons
receiving the greatest number of votes and residing in each
district as aforesaid, shall be declared duly elected com-

missioners of the said county.
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the first, second, third
and fourth sections of the act to which this is a supple-
ment, be, and the same are hereby repealed, and all the
other sections of the aforesaid act are to continue in force.

An act to incorporate the Trustees of the Deer Creek Har-
mony Church in Harford County.

Preamble.

Whereas it has been represented to this general as-
sembly, that the congregation of a certain church of the
Presbyterian denomination, situated in Harford county,
on the twenty-fourth day of January, in the year eighteen
hundred and thirty-nine, proceeded to form a corpora-
