death resignation, or removal, or by disqualification, or dis-
missal of the said conference.
Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the said trustees and
their successors shall have power to take and hold by deed
lot number twenty-one, in the town of New Windsor and
the buildings and improvements thereon erected, or hereafter
to be erected, and such other ground as they may acquire,
by gift, deed or otherwise, for a burial ground, not exceed-
ing ten acres, to keep, protect and manage, all the aforesaid
property for the use and benefit of the said Methodist Epis-
copal Church and to and for no other use intent or purpose.

CHAP. 136.

May hold by
deed, &c.

Sec. 4. And be it enacted, That the right is hereby
expressly reserved to the General Assembly of Maryland,
to alter or repeal this act of incorporation at pleasure.

CHAPTER 135.

 

An act to regulate the terms of Prince George's County
Court.

Passed Feb.
17, 1844.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That from and after the April term of Prince George's
county court next succeeding the day of the passage of this
act, the terms of said court shall be commenced on the
days hereinafter mentioned to wit: —on the first Monday of
November and on the first Monday of April, in each and
every year.

CHAPTER 136.

 

An act for the benefit of the Fishery known by the name of
Edmunson's Island or Shad Battery.

Passed Feb.
17, 1844.

Whereas, the State of Maryland having granted to
the proprietor a piece of land between Havre-de-Grace
and Spesutia Island, known by the name of Edmunson's
Island or (Shad Battery) a patent, and the said proprietor
having improved the said property at great expense, and
paying taxes for state and county purposes on the same,
it is but just and right, that the State should extend to
said property all the lights, privileges and protection
