CHAP. 134.

shall be involved, the said title shall in no wise be affected
by reason of any return or advertisement by said collectors,
of a list of lands, noting said lands as chargeable in general
terms to the heirs of any individual, without especially na-
ming Hum.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all acts or parts
of act inconsistent with this act, be and the same are here-
by repealed,

 

CHAPTER 134.

Passed Feb.
15, 1843.

An act supplementary to an act entitled, an act for the pro-
tection of Mechanics and others, in Allegany County,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and forty-
one, chapter seventy-six.

To apply to
buildings, &c.
in Allegany.

SECTION 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all the provisions of the act to which this
is a supplement, shall apply to every house, mill, barn, or
other tenement, that may erected within limits of Allegany
County, in the same manner as the original act to which
this is a supplement, applies to the buildings erected within
the limits of any city or town within the county aforesaid.

Repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the seventh section of
the original act, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Form of scire
facias.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the proceedings to re-
cover the amount of any claim under and in virtue of the
original act shall be by writ of scire facias in the following
form viz:

ALLEGANY COUNTY, SS. The State of Maryland to the
Sheriff of said county Greeting: WHEREAS
hath filed a claim in the Court for the county of Allegany,
against for the sum of
( for work done, or meterials furnished, as the case may
be, ) to or for a certain building, to wit: (describing it as in
the claim) and whereas it is alleged that the said sum still
remains due and unpaid to the said
Now we command you, that you make known to the said
and to all such persons as may hold or
occupy the said building, that they be and appear before the
Judges of our said Court, at a Court to be held at the Town
of Cumberland, on the Monday of
next, to show it any thing they know or have to say, why
