in any one year, and provided also, that the said trustees
shall not allow any out-pension to any person who is not a
fit subject to be received in the Alms-house and work-house
of said county.

CHAP. 129.

Proviso.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all laws contrary to
the provisions of this act, be, and the same are hereby re-
pealed!

Repealed.

CHAPTER 128.

 

An act to repeal an act entitled, An act to encourage the de-
struction of Crows in Charles and Prince George's
counties.

Passed Feb
28, 1842.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That an act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed
at December session eighteen hundred and twenty-nine,
chapter one hundred and twenty-nine, entitled, An act to
encourage the destruction of Crows in Charles and Prince
George's counties, be and the same is hereby repealed.

Repealed.

CHAPTER 129.

 

An act for the benefit of Elizabeth McElhenny, of Anne
Arundel County.

Passed Feb.
28, 1843.

WHEREAS it is represented to the General Assembly,
that Doctor Gustavus McElhenny, late of Anne Arundel
county, died seized of considerable real estate in Anne
Arundel and Baltimore counties, in this State; that the said
Gustavus McElhenny was a naturalized citizen, and left no
heirs capable of taking said real estate but his widow Eli-
zabeth McElhenny of said county, and whereas the title of
said widow depending entirely on the proof of marriage
and widowhood, and not being of record, may be lost in
the lapse of years, and the title and those claiming under
her be thus defeated, and the title vested in the State by
escheat — therefore,

Preamble.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That all the right title and interest of the State in the said
real estate of the said Doctor Gustavus McElhenny, be and
the same is hereby vested in Elizabeth McElhenny, widow
of said Gustavus McElhenny.
