An act for the relief of John Sifford, of Frederick county.
|
Made valid.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the deed from Elizabeth Herring, Jonathan Herring,
William Herring, Elias Turner and Mary Ann Turner, his
wife, to said John Sifford, bearing date the seventeenth day
of August, eighteen hundred and thirty-nine, and acknow-
ledged on the same day before Hubbard Short and Caton
Usher, two justices of the peace of the State of Missouri,
in and for Charlton county, be, and the same is hereby made
as valid and effectual as if the said deed had been acknow-
ledged according to the laws of this State.

An act for the relief Wesley Blake.
|
Commission-
ers to levy.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of Cecil county, be, and they are
hereby authorized and empowered, at their discretion, to
levy on the assessable property of said county, the sum of
twenty dollars, for the use of Wesley Blake or his order,
for the years eighteen hundred and forty-three and eighteen
hundred and forty-four and no longer.
