Proviso.

be, and the same is hereby declared valid and good, not-
withstanding the said James L. Bowers, the mortgager,
neglected to acknowledge the said deed as required by law;
provided, that nothing in this act shall be construed to af-
fect subsequent mortgages if any, judgment creditors or bona
fide purchasers without notice.

An act for the benefit of George Humbersson of Allegany
County.
|
Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, a deed of Mortgage dated the sixteenth day
of November, in the year eighteen hundred and thirty-sev-
en, executed by Edward Johnson and John A. Falmer, to
George Humberston, was omitted to be recorded in due
season according to law; and whereas its recording was au-
thorized by the act of eighteen hundred and thirty-eight,
chapter seventeen; and whereas the said deed of mortgage
has, in pursuance of said law, been since recorded among
the land records of Allegany county.

Proviso,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the said deed of Mortgage, shall in all and every re-
spect, be of the same force and effect, as if the same had
been duly recorded, within the time required by law; provi-
ded, that nothing in this act shall be construed to affect sub-
sequent mortgages if any, judgment creditors or bona-fide
purchasers without notice.

An act to confirm and make valid the proceedings of the Or-
phan's Court of Prince George's County, touching the sale
of certain personal property of Ann R. Mundell and John
H. Mundell.

Made valid.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the proceedings of the Orphan's Court of
Prince George's county touching the sale of certain negroes
of Ann R. Mundell and John H. Mundell, be and the same
are hereby confirmed and made valid; and the sales of said
