RESOLUTIONS.

stock, in redemption of an equal amount thereof as of 1st
October 1843, the balance as of that day of the money in
their hands for the decoration of the said monument, and
the further sum of two hundred and eight dollars and thirty
cents remaining in the western shore treasury for redemp-
tion of the said stock, and which for that purpose the said
managers are hereby authorised to draw upon the treasurer
of the western shore and he to pay the same to their order.
Resolved further, That the Commissioner of Loans upon
the receipt of the said certificates of stock, cancel the
same, and issue like certificates for the balance of the said
debt, bearing interest from the 1st October 1842, and deli-
ver the same to the proprietors respectively.

Resolution in relation to the Farmers and Millers Bank, of
Hagerstown.
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the attorney general be and he is hereby directed to apply-
to the Judges of Washington County Court for a writ of
scire facias to be directed to the President and Directors
of the Farmers and Millers Bank of Hagerstown, com-
manding them on a day therein to be named, to be and ap-
pear before the said court to shew cause why the charter
of the said Bank should not be adjudged and declared for-
feited for misuser.
Resolved, That the Governor be and he is hereby re-
quested to furnish a certified copy of this resolution to-
gether with a copy of the Testamony taken by the special
committee of the house of delegates appointed to examine
into the affairs of said Bank to the attorney general.
