RESOLUTIONS.

 

Governor or his order, such sum or sums of money from
time to time, as may be necessary to carry into effect the
aforegoing resolutions, not exceeding fifteen hundred dol-
lars.
Resolved, That the said Wilson, before he contracts for
the aforesaid work shall advertise the same, fixing the final
day of reception of proposals, and that he shall give the con-
tract to the individual or individuals who shall propose to
do the same upon the best and most reasonable terms, and
further, the said, contract shall be subject to the approval of
his Excellency the Governor.

Resolution relating to Island Creek Academy.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
instead of the sum of two hundred and sixty-six dollars
heretofore payable out of the treasury of this state yearly,
as a donation to Baltic Creek Academy, in Calvert county,
the treasurer of the western shore shall hereafter pay to,
or for the use of said Academy, one hundred and thirty-
three dollars annually and no more; and that the said trea-
surer is hereby directed to pay to, or for the use of Island
Creek Academy in said county, as a donation to said insti-
tution, the sum of one hundred and thirty-three dollars an-
nually hereafter; provided, that neither of the above Acade-
mies mentioned shall be entitled to receive the donation di-
rected to be paid to them unless the president and trustees
thereof shall annually report to the treasurer in manner and
form required by law.

Resolution relating to Frederick Fritz, alias Jacob Bruker.

Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
his Excellency the Governor, be and he is hereby authori-
zed, to fix and determine upon the compensation to the
commissioner to be appointed by him by virtue of a reso-
lution entitled, resolution relating to Frederick Frits, alias
Jacob Bruker, passed at the present session of the general
assembly, and to cause the same to be paid out of any un-
appropriated money in the treasury.
