CHAP. 19.

five, as is inconsistent with the provisions of this act, be

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That nothing in this act shall
be so construed as to alter, change or in any way to impair
the requisition upon said Bank to pay, or cause, to be paid,
to the Treasurer of the Western Shore, the sum of twenty
cents on every one hundred dollars of the capital actually
paid in upon the original organization of said bank, as pro-
vided for in the act to which this is a supplement.

 

CHAPTER 18.

An act to allow Jacob Clammer late Collector of Allegany
County, further time to complete his collections.

Further time
allowed.

SECTION 1 Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Jacob Clammer late collector of Allegany
County by himself or any person or persons by him au-
thorized for this purpose, is and and are here-by authorized
and empowered to collect until the thirty first day of De-
cember, one thousand eight hundred and forty-four, all
balances due as collector of Allegany County for the years
1839 and 1840, in the same manner which the said Jacob
Clammer could or might have done, within the time limited
by law, any thing to the contrary notwithstanding; provided

Proviso.

nevertheless before he or they shall coerce by any legal
process, he shall make oath before some justice of the
peace for said county, that such lax or the arrears thereof
remain due, and that he hath not received any part thereof
nor any security or satisfactory for the same, more than the
credits given, to the best of his knowledge.

In force until
1844.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall remain in
full force until the thirty first of December, one thousand
eight hundred and forty-four, and no longer.

 

CHAPTER 19.

An act to disconnect the office of Sheriff and County Collec-
tor of Culvert County.

Repealed.

SECTION 1. Be be it enacted by the General Assembly of
