by repealed, and the said oath or affirmation shall hereafter
be administered to the said trustees, by a justice of the
peace of said county.

CHAP. 194.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That so much of the sixth
section of the aforesaid act to which this is a supplement,
as relates to the number of trustees, be and the same is
hereby repealed, and the number of trustees hereafter to be
chosen shall be tive.

CHAPTER 193.

 

An act entitled, A further additional supplement to an act
entitled, An act to regulate the inspection of Salted Fish,
passed at December session, eighteen hundred and seven-
teen, chapter one hundred and fourteen.

WHEREAS the dimentions and capacity of the barrels re-
quired by the third section of the act of December session
eighteen hundred and forty-one, section third, are wholly
unsuited to storage in cargo, and are moreover unusual and
difficult to make — therefore,

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all barrels which shall be made and used
for the purpose of packing or containing salted Fish, shall
be seventeen inches between the chines, and twenty inches
across the bilge, the staves to be twenty-eight niches in
length, and that such barrels shall not be required to con-
tain more than twenty-eight gallons.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all acts or parts of acts
inconsistent with this act, be and the same are hereby re-
pealed.
SEC. 3 And be it enacted, That this act shall take effect
from and after the first day of November next.
