and whereas, the said Eleanor, after the decease of said John
Clark, by deed, dated the tenth day of February, in the
year of our Lord eighteen hundred and forty-two, conveyed
said tract or parcel of land, to Ann Bevans of said county,
now therefore, for the purpose of securing and making valid
the title of said Ann Bevans, to said tract or parcel of land.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the right and title, both in law and equity, of said Ann
Bevans, of, in, and to the said tract and parcel of land, de-
vised and conveyed as aforesaid, shall be, and the same is
hereby declared to be as good, perfect and valid, to all in-
tents and purposes, both in law and in equity, as if the said
Eleanor Clark and John Clark had been naturalized citizens
of the United States, at the time of the devise by said John
Donevan as aforesaid.

CHAPTER 123.

A further supplement to an act entitled, An act to appoint
a Wreck Master for Worcester County.

Whereas, the commissions of the Wreck Master have
heretofore been regulated by the county court; and as great
inconvenience often arises therefrom to the parties—there-
fore,
|
Preamble.
|
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That instead of the uncertain fees heretofore re-
ceived by the Wreck Master, he shall hereafter be entitled
to ten dollars per day for every day he shall be engaged in
attending to the duties of his office.

An act to authorise the commissioners of Tax for Carroll
county, to levy a certain sum of money therein mentioned.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of tax for Carroll county, be, and
and they are hereby authorised and empowered to allow
John Sire of said county, twenty dollars in addition to the
amount now allowed.
