CHAPTER 121.

An act to grant further time to Thomas Perry, of Charles
County, to complete his Collections.
|
Time exten-
ded
|
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the time granted to Thomas Perry, late
sheriff and collector of Charles county, to complete his col-
lections, be and the same is hereby extended to the first day
of March, eighteen hundred and Forty-three, and that the
said Thomas Perry shall be allowed the said time to com-
plete his collections, as fully as if the same had been done
within the time heretofore limited by law.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said Thomas Perry,
before he proceeds to execute the body or property of any
person or persons, for lines, forfeitures, amercements, offi-
cers fees or public dues, by and under the authority of this
act, shall deliver or cause to be delivered to the person or
persons chargeable with the same, or shall leave, or cause
to be left, at his, her or their house, at least thirty days pre-
vious to his serving or levying any execution upon the body
or property of said person or persons, an account of the
sum due by him, her or them, with the affidavit of the said
Thomas Perry, or of one of his deputies, as the case may
be, annexed thereto, setting Forth that they have not, nor
hath any other person For them, received any part thereof,
except (if any) the credits thereon given, or any satisfaction

for the same, to the best of their knowledge and belief; pro-
vided, that nothing in this act shall be construed to authorize
the said Thomas Perry to make collection by execution, of
any claim against the estate of any person deceased, where
the said claim originated previous to the death of said per-
son deceased.

An act to secure and make valid the title of Ann Bevans of
Washington County, to certain lands therein mentioned.
|
Preamble
|
Whereas, it appears to this General Assembly, that a
certain John Donevan late of Washington county, deceased,
by his last will and testament, bearing date the seventeenth
day of September, eighteen hundred and twenty-five, de-
vised a certain tract or parcel of land to Eleanor Clark and
John Clark her husband, the said Eleanor and John being
foreigners, and not naturalized citizens of the United States;
