CHAP. 126.

CHAPTER 125.

Passed Feb
23, 1842.

An act authorising the Levy Court of Frederick County, to
levy a sum of money to build a Bridge over Catoctin
Creek, near the mill of Israel Remsburg, on the road
leading from Burkettsville to Middletown.

1500 dollars

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland That the levy court of Frederick county, be,
and they are hereby authorized and empowered in their
discretion, to levy on the assessable property of said coun-
ty, a sum not exceeding fifteen hundred dollars, in two
equal annual instalments, for the purpose of re-building a
bridge over Catoctin Creek, near the mill of Israel Rcm9-
burg, on the road leading from Burkettsville to Middle-
town.

Bond to be
given.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the said levy court be,
and they arc hereby authorized to contract with any person
or persons to build said bridge, and are required to take
bond or bonds with sufficient security from any contractor
or contractors, for the faithful performance of the contract,
in the usual form.

An act for the benefit of Robert and Chloe Jinn Loper, of
Montgomery County.

Levy of thir-
ty dollars each
for their sup-
port

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That
the commissioners of Montgomery county, be and they are
hereby authorized and required if in their judgment it may
seem right and proper, to levy on the assessable property of
said county, and annually thereafter, during the lives of
Robert Loper, and Chloe Ann Loper, and while they con-
tinue to be residents of said county, the sum of thirty dol-
lars each, for their use, and payable to his, her or their
order.
