Ah act to make valid a certain Deed.

Deed made
valid.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,.
That the deed from Thomas Gurley, the late sheriff of
Frederick county, to David Zimmerman of said county,
conveying a tract of land called Good Wife, lying and be-
ing in Frederick county, ' and executed on the third day of
May in the year eighteen hundred and thirty eight, being
the record deed, be and the same is hereby declared to be
valid and effectual in law, to pass the estate in said deed
mentioned, as if the same had been duly acknowleged and
recorded.

An act to provide for the apportionment and expenditure of
School money, in Montgomery County.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That all dividends due from Bank stocks hither-
to invested as the free school fund of Montgomery county,
and all other monies that have accrued, or may hereafter ac-
crue to said fund, shall be paid by the treasurer of the
western shore of Maryland, to the order of the commission-
ers for Montgomery county,, and shall be by them apportion-
ed among the several election districts, in due proportion to
the white population in each district.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the commissioners for
Montgomery county shall draw their orders on the treasurer
of the western shore, on or before the first day in July in
every year, and apportion the same among the several elec-
tion districts, on or before the last Monday in July, or as
soon thereafter as practical, in each and every year.

Sec. 3. And be it enacted, That the commissioners for
Montgomery county, shall on or before the third Monday in
July in each and every year, appoint some responsible citi-
zen as treasurer of the school fund, who shall give bond,
with such penalty, and such security, as the commissioners
for Montgomery county shall approve; conditioned for the
safe keeping and disbursement of the money entrusted to his
care, according to the provisions of this act; and the com-
missioners aforesaid, may allow the said treasurer of the
school fund such compensation as they may think just and
right, cither by permitting him to use for a limited time, as
